Double Tree by Hilton
Residence Inn by Marriott is a convenient area to get away from the stressful city living and become integrated with innerselves and have rest. It is designed by taking the scenario of a customer into consideration. The Residence has a cure center and the path from cure center to a room mimics a normal and relieved day of a person, which begins with stone tones with water blue therapy and ends with warm sunset aesthetic. The therapy of art is also used in cure center and also in the common areas. The design of the rooms are inspired from the sunset, where pastel colors of the nature are reflected to interior and also with the form. This romantic serenity feeling is associated with modernism in the design.
The most used materials were glass, stone and wood. In order to preserve the permeability in the house, all facades were surrounded by opening glass application. The natural stones offered by the topography were matched with specially manufactured ceramics and marbles, ensuring continuity from the soil. Wooden surfaces were preferred in almost all interior surfaces, and the use of natural materials was carried inside. All materials were used together in a balanced way for a warmer environment of the house.
REFLECTION OF DESIGN
A key element for the concept is the reflection pools which serves a very important purpose from the aspect of biophilic design; while we carry nature into interiors, we make material connections with nature, we make an accent on our statement: a timeless biophilic design which is provided by the presence of water. In order to maintain spatial integrity in the common area arcades were used with a modern twist. While the gridal main carriages reach to the ground, metal mesh is preferred as an architectural element to have an interplay between light and shadow.
