OWERVIEW

Minimalist Luxury

A hospitality project inspired by the human affinity for nature, Paloma Finesse which is located in south coast region of Turkey, Antalya aims to provide this experience in a design sense. A key element for the concept is the reflection pools which serves a very important purpose from the aspect of biophilic design; while we carry nature into interiors, we make material connections with nature, we make an accent on our statement: a timeless biophilic design which is provided by the presence of water.

DESIGN ELEMENTS

Lights & Shadows Geometry

Within this context, we applied light element as a varying factor which changes over time and has a drastic impact on the spatial experience. Where there is light there is shadow that we should consider of. An interplay between light & shadow that is provided by the architectural, interior elements such as reflective and semi-permeable surfaces.

OWERVIEW

Day & Night

The most used materials were glass, stone and wood. In order to preserve the permeability in the house, all facades were surrounded by opening glass application. The natural stones offered by the topography were matched with specially manufactured ceramics and marbles, ensuring continuity from the soil. Wooden surfaces were preferred in almost all interior surfaces, and the use of natural materials was carried inside. All materials were used together in a balanced way for a warmer environment of the house.

DESIGN ELEMENTS

Transparency

The structure makes indoor-outdoor boundary disappear with a continuous, permeable facade. In this manner, it allows the daylight in entirely. And provides the natural light setting for the user each time of the day.
